Memory One - Neu Sig
Katou's Death
From here through that entire chapter, and half of the next chapter, to to here.
Okay so, if you have never read Angel Santuary but you actually went to read the links above, thinking 'hey, it's Lucifer, and someone on Turq died! I'm curious!' and then proceeded to have no idea what the fuck was going on it's okay, that is a pretty typical Angel Sanctuary experience. On top of the fact that A) Kaori Yuki r not best panel director and B) the scanslations are pretty shitty, the entire last six or so volumes of the manga are extremely rushed due to Kaori having too many goddamn irons in the fire and having to close everything up. I have read the series four or five times and I STILL decipher new and interesting things every time.
So here is the summary of what is contained in the above, from Lucifer's perspective:
Heaven's Gate is opening! It's been closed a while and is a big deal.
A bunch of people arrive, Lucifer recognizes most of them, but doesn't really give two shits about any of them. There is Michael, his brother, and Uriel a high ranking angel, Setsuna and Katou, humans (??) who are connected to his past somehow. They keep calling him 'Kira' which is not a surprise but also incorrect in some way.
He explains that is he is going take this chick his carrying (Alexiel) and meet up with someone else (Rociel) and use them to open the Tower of Etenamenki, which is a big deal but he doesn't remember why.
Then Balbero arrives and is like blahblah husband and blahblah I am the best awesome witch-general of hell. Lucifer orders her to kill Michael, while simultaneously revealing to Michael that she is the demonic version of the only woman Michael ever trusted. Apparently back when Balbero and Lucifer were angels Michael had a bit of a complex and it hurt him badly when Balbero chose Lucifer over him. Lucifer really does not even given two fucks, but he does think Michael should be a bit less blind. Also Balbero is going on about how she will do anything for him so it seems interesting to tell her to kill the only other person she might have any emotional connection to.
Balbero starts using illusions that work by showing people the ones they love, and when she is about to kill Setsuna she is stabbed through the chest with Shiranui. Shiranui apparently has some Lucifer-essence to it for some reason. Also she is stabbed by Katou, who is immune to her whiles because he is dying and losing all of his memories.
Katou then goes on about how he only lives to kill Lucifer, even though he can't remember why, and pulls out Wormwood. Wormwood is a great calamity created by God and given to the angels so that when Earth became too hideous they could release it and wipe out one-third of everything. According to God, it would only kill evil types, but as Katou releases it, it starts slaughtering angels too with comets from the sky. Lucifer is kind of amused, and mocks Uriel for thinking that God would protect Uriel because he is 'good'. Then Katou tries to kill Lucifer with Shiranui, which Lucifer does not even bother to dodge because he knows Shiranui can't hurt him, the blade breaks, and flies backward into the forehead of Balbero, who was coming up behind Katou to try to protect Lucifer.
Lucifer takes no notice of Balbero, and stabs Katou in the side, but he doesn't kill him instantly because he wants to know why Katou tried to kill him with a blade he knew wouldn't work. Katou is like lol I told you man my memories are fucked. And Lucifer is like "You're a bad liar, as always." and then shoves Katou off his blade and watches him fall.
Then it's like, hay, the Gate of Heaven is closing and comets are killing everything better get inside so he flies off into Eden.
So that is what HAPPENED, but what does Lucifer GET out of it?

Learned/Effects:
-My name is Lucifer, I am a demon, was formerly an angel, and I have some followers who I really don't care about
-I have a brother named Michael, he hates me and all women, the only woman he ever cared about liked me better and protected me from his sword and nearly died
-Said woman is now Balbero, general of Hell, and I guess my wife or whatever, also now she's dead
-People are weak to illusions involving love
-There's some big shit going down but I'm really not sure what
-Demons are 'evil', angels are 'good', angels believe God protects them and cares about them
--That's hilarious and naive
-General sense that God can't be trusted for diddly shit, overall highly negative feelings
-Have some sort of past with the humans here, but it's overall unimportant
-Still, there is a sense that I knew everything about Katou, but couldn't really be bothered to reach for the knowledge
-Katou didn't want to live
+1 Luciferish identity
-1 million fucks
