Memory Sixteen - Sig Neg

Human!Kira Memory - Car accident/Dying
Taken, Day 103
Sharable, form of black feather

So I am not going to find the relevant pages for this, because it's the same as the LAST TIME Lucifer got this memory. Basically he has this memory from three povs! First, the one he has, is talking about it with his Shouta Soul some eleven years later. The one he just got is it from Kira Sakuya (the seven year old boy's) perspective. And the one he is missing is from Nanatsusaya's perspective when he finds the dying boy and makes the contract.

Anyway, basically what we have here is AN ORDINARY SEVEN YEAR OLD BOY ON A WALK WITH HIS MOM. Chatting probably heading to the store or something. Everything is cool! They cross the street, and a car comes blazing down the road. Sakuya wasn't even fully aware of this all, just that loud noise, his mother screams and pulls him away, a huge impact, and then his tumbling down the road. His mother lays a few feet away from him, dead on impact, and there is a growing pool of blood under him. The car drives away.

Then a little glowing ball of light appears, just as everything is going black, and asks him if he can use this body. He will still be dead, but for a while, this spirit will use it and live it's life. In exchange, the spirit will grant him his final request. The little boy thinks of his father, who just lost his wife, and would one day have to lose his son as well, and tells the spirit he wants to make his father hate him, so that when he dies it won't be so terrible for him. Also he wants to read a lot more books.

The spirit agrees, and takes over the body, and Sakuya feels himself fold up into a little soulball and nestle in tight. His body stops hurting, and his eyes open, and he gets up. He can see everything Nanatsusaya is doing, but he can't control it, and it's all a little distant. Nanatsusaya goes over to the body of his mother and stands over it emotionlessly, but Sakuya feels very sad. He asks what's happened to his mother, now that she's dead, and Nanatsusaya tells him that souls move on to Hades where they are sorted to either Heaven or Hell depending on their actions. Nanatsusaya briefly flips through Sakuya's memories, and says that judging from the person she was, she is likely in Heaven. Sakuya is appeased, and asks what Heaven is like. Nanatsusaya says he doesn't know, but apparently people want to go there, so it can't be that bad.

After that Sakuya says that talking like this is tiring for him, and basically goes to 'sleep', and leaves Nanatsusaya to deal with the business of What Happens Now.

This doesn't really mean much to Lucifer! He already knew about all of the events. It's the first memory he has that is just 100% human in nature though (that isn't something someone else showed him). It's interesting in an academic way. He has a little more information to associate with things like grief and the complex (and backwards...) ways humans show they care for each other. Perhaps the most interesting part is that Sakuya GENUINELY is utterly selfless in his request to make his father hate him. He doesn't like the idea of it at all, but he feels a very heavy unhappiness at the idea of his father losing another person he loves. So of course the solution is to first make his father hate him. It's completely childish, but it is also 100% an act of selfless love. Whiiich is always something that just kind of makes any version of Lucifer go 8|??
